First Alert Day: A Cold Weather Advisory has been issued for Central NC through 9am on Monday. Dangerous 'feels-like' temperatures in the single digits are expected.
The Arctic front has moved through, so bitter-cold conditions are expected for this evening. Lows tonight will fall into the teens. 'Feels-like' temperatures will be in the single digits for the early-morning hours.
Monday will be mainly sunny with highs in the mid to upper 30s, after a frigid morning.
A mid-week warm up arrives, but it comes gradually. Tuesday and Wednesday will feature highs in the 50s. By Thursday, it will feel like Spring with highs in the low 60s.
The next front approaches Thursday and with the milder air, we'll see mostly cloudy skies with a late day shower risk, more likely we get rain after sunset and into early Friday morning.
Rain will be gone by the Friday morning commute, but roads will be damp. Highs will be in the 50s through Saturday. Next Sunday is warmer with highs in the 60s.
Have a great night!
